Kids just seem to really go for these little Canadian Fuzzy Wuzzy Canada Red Mittens. The Official Red Mitten plan was for every elementary child in Vancouver wearing a pair of the red mittens for the opening ceremonies in Feb 2010 - I can just see the scene in British Columbia - hundreds of thousands of little ones, all waving their red mitts with the tiny white maple leaf on the palm. The kids love the red mitts, but OMG, we oldsters and young adults are loving them too. It's just so comical - all of us Canucks waving to each other and the world, and all our red mittened little kids, of every shape, shade & size, all smiling and beautiful, each in their own, one of a kind, way.
Kid just seem to light up like little holiday beacons when they get these on. Their smiles as white as the Canadian Maple Leaf logo as they wave.
I have been looking at all the great photos on line; of the torch running and all the Red & White mittened children along the route.
