Description of the NEW Canada Red Mittens
The new design is really quite awesome, with the bigger, more grandiose maple leaf logo split into two equal halves and sewn vertically onto the outside edge of each mittens. To make an entire maple leaf, the mittens must be held together, as in the photo above, with thumbs pointing outward.The Olympic 2010 Vancouver logo is no longer embroidered onto the backs of the mittens; it has been replaced by a small, tasteful, oval shaped patch sewn onto the cuff of each mitten.The backs of the new red mitts are un-embellished, except where the edge of the maple leaf turns the bend.
The new mittens are lined & cuffed exactly like the original Olympic version and they are packaged with the same authentic official Olympic tags as well.
Everyone loves this new design, especially since the Canadian iconic maple leaf is the main theme, instead of the Olympic committee logo.
